Oxidative stress, DNA mutation & Izumio

Since 1988, mutations in mt genes have been implicated in a number of degenerative diseases – including Alzheimer disease, mitochondrial myopathy, Kearns-Sayre syndrome, CPEO (chronic progressive external phthalmoplegia), Leigh syndrome, Pearson syndrome, dystonia, and diabetes. Mt mutations also accumulate in tumor cells, and are so highly amplified that often they can be detected in bodily fluids.

And what’s the cause??
DNA damage by oxygen free radicals!

Science geek, read more here:

And there is a science breakthrough in 2007 which published in Nature journal, a top journal in academy, about hydrogen acts as a therapeutic antioxidant by selectively reducing cytotoxic oxygen radicals.

Hydrogen therapy works because it can go into deepest level of our cell accredit to its being smallest element on earth, each H2 molecule neutralise two of the most damaging hydroxyl free radicals OH* which our body enzymes are unable to remove, and turn it into H2O to hydrate our body, protect our DNA from mutations.
H2 + 2 OH* —> 2 H2O
